Fire/ Security Alarm Technician

Join Our Team! Full-Time Fire and Security Alarm Technician

American Security Alarm, Inc. is looking for a dedicated, full-time Fire and Security Alarm Technician to become a key part of our dynamic and growing team! In this exciting role, you’ll have the opportunity to travel to diverse job sites across Maine and New Hampshire, installing, repairing, and servicing a variety of residential and commercial fire and security systems. This may also include working with electronic locks, access control systems, CCTV, and more.

What We’re Looking For: The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation or service of fire and security systems, or similar electronic products. Strong troubleshooting skills, problem-solving abilities, and analytical thinking are essential for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to job sites in Maine and New Hampshire to program, service, inspect, and troubleshoot both basic and complex fire and security alarm systems
  • Independently install and maintain a range of fire and security systems, including alarms, CCTV, electronic locks, and access control systems
  • Attend weekly team meetings to collaborate and stay aligned on goals
  • Maintain and restock necessary equipment and supplies in your company vehicle
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of all work completed
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members, customers, builders, and office staff to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications:

  • A low-voltage electrical license and industry experience are required
  • Familiarity with NFPA72, NEC, and industry standards for fire alarm installation
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Strong work ethic and a team-first mindset
